We didn't go to the NEC after all. My grand-daughter and I thought that driving into an amber snow warning area was not a sensible idea. At least I saved some money. I had already bought some new stamps last week and the snow has given me a chance to try them out!!
The flower and leaves were coloured using watercolour pencils.
Hope it warms up soon and you have a great week. Mx

Used Pixie Powders to colour a sheet of card and then used it to make the flowers, the butterfly and back the cutout letters. I do like the effect.
NEC next week, said I would not go again as it is so crowded, but was persuaded by my grand-daughters who are keen to go! Guess I will spend lots of money on crafty bits I REALLY NEED!
Have a super weekend. Mx

Been experimenting with letters this week
These are just stuck onto an embossed background.
This time I backed the white card with a bright DSP and used the negative.
Took the dog out this morning, it is so mild and sunny you
would think Spring has arrived!!

Well, what a week that was. trust you are all warming up and getting back to normal. At least it meant I could get a lot of prep done for our Charity Weekend at Hothorpe!
Not the best week to get a dog!!! My grandaughters and I collected "Flo" from a rescue centre last weekend. She is an 8-year-old black labrador who is fixated on food, so little exercise last week didn't help the fitness regime. Still, new week and spring to look forward to, I'm sure we will both benefit from less food and more exercise.
Wish I had more of this "Bashful Blue" card. The contrasting colour is "Island Indigo" and the stamp set is "Wild about Flowers".
Have a super week. Mandy
