Have had a few days at a lovely place near Grantham called Harlaxton Manor. The U3A hold a Summer School there each year and I look forward to the break and catching up with old friends.
One particular friend, Hilary from near Leicester and I devise projects for our untutored group, and we always have a super crafty time.
This is Hilary's super card which was admired by all who popped in to see what we were doing, when not studying Tectonic Plates, Rutland Water or even Singing for Fun. If you are in the U3A, why not look at the website and come along? There are numerous tutored courses to tempt you as well as our little self taught Papercraft Group.
Another of Hilary's ideas
Liz, if you are reading this, we missed you very much and look forward to seeing you there next year.
Hope everyone has a great week. Mx

At last!!! After several attempts at colouring the "Birthday Blooms" stamp I have reached the stage when I am reasonably satisfied with the results.
It is certainly a technique I would like to develop because some fantastic examples by people who have obviously practiced can be found on You Tube.
Next I am going to try and make my own gelli plate. Will let you know how I get on.
Anyway this is my latest effort!
Have a super weekend. Mx

I received this lovely card recently from my friend Maxine and I liked it so much I bought the Stampin'Up stamp set "Beautiful You" and prepared a very similar project for this week's workshops.
I tried several different dresses but the blue was the best. Do you remember cutting out dresses and looping them over a cardboard figure when you were a child? Trying all the different cut outs was just the same!!!
Certainly pleased I bought the set. Thank you Maxine, for the inspiration.
Enjoy your day! Mx

This time I have used the "vertical Greeting" stamp set with a stamp from Chocolate Baroque. A nice stamp set but I wish they came properly backed like Stampin'Up, it certainly adds to the cost when you have to buy the backing foam.
Hope you all have a splendid weekend and make some great projects. Mx

Hurrah!! My Stampin'Up parcel arrived today and I was able to complete last week's card and add a sentiment to a new card I made yesterday. I am really pleased with them both.
I can really recommend the "Vertical Greetings" stamp set as being very useful. I had overlooked it until my friend Liz, from Leicestershire sent me this lovely card a little while ago.
Thank you Liz for the inspiration. Mx
